I'm Laurie, and I'm a friendly introvert, who loves my family, pizza, restoring old furniture, and the oxford comma.

I have been in business since late 2009, and have loved every last minute of it. I am an award-winning artist, and have had my art and photography published all over the world. I am a well-seasoned and experienced professional, and I have photographed hundreds of weddings and portraits during my career. Over the years I have honed my photography skills, and developed an ability to masterfully handle any type of lighting scenario that presents itself. I am just as comfortable working indoors with a single flash or my studio light set up, or a simple, romantic garden wedding with nothing but sunlight & stars. My favorite photography moment to-date is having the opportunity to photograph John Legend playing for a small audience at a private dinner. It was like a dream!

From the beginning, my approach to photography has never been to just 'make a pretty picture', but rather to harness glorious light, tie it to a beautiful, fleeting moment, and create little time capsules for my clients. I want to move something in you when you look at your images... I want to help you see how beautiful your life is- how beautiful YOU are. I sincerely respect the power in all styles of photography, but my passion isn't found in cute Pinterest posing, in the perfect outfit, or the 'Say Cheese' smile - but rather in documenting the raw, natural beauty that sometimes reveals itself only in those raw, candid moments. That is what makes me feel alive.

I'm a quiet Michigan girl who has planted her Northern roots here in the beautiful South. After meeting & marrying my husband in Florida, we moved with our two beautiful little girls to the great state of Tennessee, and couldn't be happier for it. I have absolutely fallen in love with Knoxville, and I feel blessed to be a Knoxville Wedding Photographer.

I'm excited to meet you!
